After winning the regional Citizen Bee Competition, Grace Collins advanced to represent Midway High School at the state-level competition in April. Senior Carson Lutz also competed at the regional Citizen Bee and earned a second-place finish.
The Texas Citizen Bee is a statewide civic education program and competition including both a written test and oral rounds.
Grace worked hard to prepare for the state competition by learning about the U.S. Constitution, Supreme Court cases, important Americans, historical events, civic values and skills, and current events.
