BPA Student Teams Advance to Nationals

For the second year in a row, 10 Midway High School Students competed at the BPA National Leadership Conference, which is the highest level of competition for BPA. Each of these students competed at the State Conference in March and placed high enough to qualify for the National Conference that was held at the beginning of May.

BPA allows students to compete in a variety of events at regional, state and national leadership conferences to gain business experiences and learn skills that prepare them to make decisions about their future careers.

Midway’s Virtual Multimedia and Promotion Team of John Michael Belen, Drew Magers, Wade Whitney and Charlee Yourman qualified to compete at the National Conference through the virtual competitions and earned a second place finish at Nationals.

Additionally, the Video Production Team of Andrew Block, Zach Davitashvili, Gavin Millerick and Zach Williams qualified for Nationals as State Champions with a first place finish and earned seventh place at the National Conference.

Oleg Pittman, who earned second place in Python Programming at State, and Ben Loyd, who earned third place in Digital Media Production at State, also advanced to compete at the National Conference.

BPA sponsors Kyle Rogers and Susan Jones accompanied the students to Nationals. Congratulations to all of these students on their hard work!
