In the CPR/First Aid event, Sabeen and Asma Ahmad earned first place in the area competition and won second place at the state level. At state, the duo aced a written test and were among the top 10 students to advance to the skills round. During the skills round, they performed a CPR/First Aid scenario in front of a panel of judges demonstrating their expertise as one of the top two teams in Texas.

Lydia Green also received high marks at state and earned recognition for her exemplary score on a National Geographic General Chemistry test. All three students will advance to represent Midway and the state of Texas at the international competition in June.
