What can a creative teacher do with a $1,000 grant and classrooms full of talented students? Midway High School Orchestra Director Dr. Beau Benson has breathed new life into a silent film by taking his custom-written score previously used in performances to be captured for a streaming video. He also created an old-time radio performance in conjunction with the theatre department! The $1,000 grant from the Midway ISD Education Foundation included portable recording studios and soundstage technology (FM transmitter, receiver, etc.).
The two projects will be streaming online now until the end of October.
