Homecoming Queen Lexi Smock

img_6803Class of 2017 Homecoming Queen is Lexi Smock. Lexi is the daughter of Jackie Van Schoik and Albert Smock. Lexi’s school achievements & activities have included varsity cheer co-captain, band, and state qualifier for power lifting. Her favorite community activity has been competing with her All-Star cheer team. After graduation, Lexi plans to attend the Texas State and cheer and major in physical education.

The 2016 Homecoming Court nominees were:

 

Kennedy Clark is the daughter of Jimmy and Karen Clark.  Kennedy’s school achievements & activities have included Midway Soccer, Student Council, and Spanish Club.  Her favorite community activity has been playing soccer for Midway. After graduation, Kennedy plans to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor to play soccer and major in nutrition.

 

Jordan Cofer is the daughter Dr. Rick and Andrea Cofer. Jordan’s school achievements & activities have included Varsity Cheer co-captain, NHS, PALS, and Student Council Historian. Her favorite community activity has been National Charity League. After graduation, Jordan plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in biomedical science with a minor in Spanish.

 

Allye Beth Deaton is the daughter of Bobby and Jennifer Deaton.  Allye Beth’s school achievements & activities have included Captain of the Volleyball team, PALS, Spirit of Midway, and Meet in the Middle.  Her favorite community activity has been Waco Symphony Belles. After graduation, Allye Beth plans to attend TCU to play volleyball and major in occupational therapy.

 

Amelia Ehgotz is the daughter of Karen and George Ehgotz.  Amelia’s school achievements & activities have included Cheerleading, MPACT, Spirit of Midway, and theater.  Her favorite community activity has been cheering at varsity football games.  After graduation, Amelia plans to attend TCU and major in marketing and finance.

 

Georgia Fair is the daughter of Carolyn and Will Fair. Georgia’s school achievements & activities have included Varsity Soccer, Varsity, Tennis, NHS, and Spirit of Midway. Her favorite community activity has been volunteering at the Family Abuse Center.  After graduation, Georgia plans to attend the Baylor University and major in social work.

 

Tanna Freedman is the daughter of Tony Freedman and Tammy Freedman.  Tanna’s school achievements & activities have included Goal Tenders and NHS. Her favorite community activity has been volunteering at the American Cancer Society. After graduation, Tanna plans to attend Texas State University and major in dance education.

 

Kaitlyn LaValley is the daughter of  David LaValley and Lisa Perez. Kaitlyn’s school achievements & activities have included PALS, Student Council, Softball, and NHS.  Her favorite community activity has been participating in youth group.  After graduation, Kaitlyn plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in business.

 

Haley Moore is the daughter of Mark and Angie Moore.  Haleys’s school achievements & activities have included Softball, PALS, NHS, and Spirit of Midway.  Her favorite community activity has been teaching vacation Bible school. After graduation, Haley plans to attend UT Tyler to play softball and major in biology.

 

Katherine Moseman is the daughter of Dr. David and Leigh Moseman. Katherine’s school achievements & activities have included Mock Trial, PALS, Swim Team, and Student Council officer.  Her favorite community activity has been teaching Sunday school at FBC Woodway. After graduation, Katherine plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in sociology/pre-law.

 

Ashley Posey is the daughter of Patrick and Susan Posey. Ashley’s school achievements & activities have included Varsity Soccer, PALS, NHS, and Spirit of Midway. Her favorite community activity has been youth group at First Baptist Woodway. After graduation, Ashley plans to attend the Texas A&M University and major in psychology.

 

Courtney Sorelle is the daughter of Mark and Melissa Sorelle.  Courtney’s school achievements & activities have included Varsity Cheer Captain, PALS, NHS, and Student Council.  Her favorite community activity has been volunteering at the Challenger Baseball League.  After graduation, Courtney plans to attend New York University and major in business.

 

Miranda Youmans is the daughter of Fred and Melissa Youmans. Miranda’s school achievements & activities have included NHS, Volleyball, FCA leadership, and PALS. Her favorite community activity has been youth group at First Baptist Woodway. After graduation, Miranda plans to attend the University of North Texas to play volleyball and major in speech pathology.
