Midway Loves the 90’s

In addition to honoring Fossum, the Athletic Department also honored the 2011 Friends of Midway, Rock and Ann Schiltz, for the contributions to MHS Soccer.

The Midway Athletic Hall of Fame’s newest inductee Casey Fossum was honored at the Midway Homecoming Game. Fossum, a pitcher, graduated from Midway High School in 1996 and went on to attend Texas A&M. In 1999, he led the Aggies to the College World Series. Fossum was drafted to the Boston Red Sox; he has since played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, and Chicago Cubs. Fossum is currently with the New York Mets.

In recognition of the classes of 1990-1999, all ‘90s graduates and their families received complementary admission into the game along with seating in the end zone bleachers. “It was wonderful to be celebrate Midway loves the ‘90s with the reuniting of past and present Panthers,” said Suzi Pagel, Executive Director of the Education Foundation.
