Wendy’s High School Heisman Candidates

Each year, Midway High School nominates two outstanding student athletes to represent the school in the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship Competition. This year, seniors Trevell Harden and Shelby Crow were chosen.

In August, Trevell was a member of Midway’s 4A State Champion Linemen, and he was named Top Athlete from a field of close to 200 linemen. Harden and his teammates of Biarnesen, Petty, DeLeon, and Garrett took second in the 100 yard Tire Flip Relay competition with a time of 1:51.22.

Shelby Crow is a captain of the Midway Swim Team, and was a member of the 2011 All-State 200-yard Freestyle Relay that currently ranks 10th in the State of Texas’ all-time records. Crow’s teammates included Miranda Angel (shown to the right of Crow), Simona Smolenova, and Emily Neubert (who was last year’s Wendy’s High School Heisman candidate).

Senior Shelby Crow (second from right), a member of Midway's all-state relay swim team, is the 2001 Wendy's High School Heisman female candidate for Midway.
